Uberman

I spend most of my time these days visualizing and writing for film. I’m working on a short film project now and I expect it to be ready by the 1st of December, 2009. (Probably much sooner than that, but given the outcome of my last project, I want to stay “realistic.”

Other than filmmaking I spend a lot of time philosophizing. I don’t dwell for too long in theory though, instead I form practical applications for my mental, physical, and spiritual growth. I like to think that Philosophy is an active discipline, much like a martial art, and all my favorite Philosophers have been doers.

My current and lifelong project is self-mastery. Being a broad focus, I’ve decided to take it in chunks, which is already a marked improvement over the last version of me, who would have naively said “today I’m going to master self-mastery.” Instead, I’m going to spend the next 45 days mastering my mind through the mastery of my body. (I’ve given myself a role in the before-mentioned short film, and my character is a somatic narcissist, so being freakishly ripped is necessary for the role. Producing your own work has its perks.)

I’m also working to give myself a black-belt in the art of Sexual Kung-Fu. Probably much different than you’re imagining, it’s actually the practice of transmuting your latent sexual energy into higher centers—most notably the brain—for the sake of super-charging your Creativity. (At least that’s how I’m going to use it.) Anybody that has read Think and Grow Rich, or Steve Pavlina’s blog, or The Multi-Orgasmic Man, has probably heard something about this.

If you’re interested in anything I just wrote, I’ll be posting my thoughts in-progress here on TheUberman.com. I’ll take comments on FaceBook, which in turn will influence my ideas. Writing about such things in public can be awfully scary, but collaboration from great thinkers often breeds better work, so I look forward to hearing from you.
